She joined the Architech team in August of 2022 and is looking forward to using her knowledge of sport performance and rehabilitation to help the Charlotte community.

Abby grew up in Cornelius, NC as a competitive gymnast from the age of 5 to 18. She then translated her skills to varsity cheerleading while in college, and even helped cheer the UNC basketball team to a national championship in 2017. Outside of work, Abby enjoys weight lifting, hanging out with family and friends on Lake Norman, playing card games and exploring Charlotte with her husband.

While she enjoyed the thrill of competition, Ally found that her real passion was working “behind the scenes” as a trainer in order to prepare horses for competition. As a physical therapist, she has a similar goal to not only restore her patient’s to their pre-injury level, but to teach them how to be stronger than they were before. Ally loves learning about sports and hobbies that her patients participate in, and enjoys breaking down the mechanical demands of each sport in order to create a therapy program tailored to each of her patient’s specific needs.
